  2. Two implemented Projects in Afghanistan International Management Group • Technical Assistance (TA) to Targeted Afghan Ministries • Construction of Provincial Facilities & Procurement of Vehicles for Judicial Institutions in Afghanistan

  3. Technical Assistance (TA) to Targeted Afghan Ministries • Donor: Italian Government • Project value - ~ 1 million EURO • Duration January 1, 2006 – June 30, 2009

  4. Technical Assistance (TA) to Targeted Afghan Ministries The activities envisaged refer to the institutional framework of the Bonn and Tokyo agreements, signed by Italy The entire programme was formulated and directed towards strengthening of different strategic aspects in order to significantly renew the sustainable process of development of the Afghan governance structure, focusing on the reconstruction process of the sectoral governance systems Within this Programme IMG has implemented four micro-projects as follows: • 1st Micro-Project – Support to the Forestry Department of MAAHF - Amended as micro-project for purchasing and delivering Agricultural tools, bottles and jars for the oil bottling process and for olive pickle bottling • 2nd Micro-Project – Training courses in marketing, quality control, language and informatics • 3rd Micro-Project – the micro-project in support to the oil mill in Jalalabad and olive growing • 4th Micro-Project – Production line for raisins and pistachio

Technical Assistance (TA) to Targeted Afghan Ministries Results per Micro-projects • 1st Micro-Project – Goods delivered to the beneficiary • 2nd Micro-Project – The training of fifteen Afghan technicians in Pakistan carried out • 3rd Micro-Project • Repaired machinery delivered to Jalalabad factory, for the second olive oil line • The four selected technicians trained in Foligno at Company Rapanelli premises for installation and testing of the repaired machinery • Jars and bottles for olive oil and equipment for olive oil production to Jalalabad olive oil factory delivered • 4th Micro-Project – Trained personnel for quality production • Output of the Project • Olive oil mill in Jalalabad completely equipped for olive oil production • Trained staff of the olive oil mill
