Follow a girl's struggle between her resolution to be healthy and her craving for pancakes in this light-hearted comedy. Will she choose health or indulge in sweetness?
E N D
Scenario My film is about a girl having the New Year’s resolution to be healthy. The film is then about her conflict of her resolution versus her sweet tooth. She gives into her cravings and makes pancakes but adds a banana to make it healthier. She makes to pancakes and covers them in syrups. She eats all the pancake but end up leaving the banana.
Research results In my research I found: • The lighting in my kitchen is effective enough, but I do need to be careful about shadows during the close up. • During my literature review found that it is best to keep the film simple and make it more intricate visually. • I am able to create my own sound effects and I will need to record some ambient sound. • From my focus group I found that it would be more effective not to use dialogue and instead visually represent the conflict between healthy or pancakes.
Target audience and genre Target audience My audience is people who enjoy comedies typically the younger generation and anyone who can relate to breaking a new year’s resolution. My genre is comedy. The expectations for this genre energetic, fun, light hearted with humour as the driving force. Does my film fit the expectations or not? The theme of breaking the new year’s resolution of being healthy film is light hearted and fun. It’s not a heavy or serious topic and it’s something a lot of people can relate to, look back and laugh at their own and thousands of other people failures to keep their new year’s resolutions every year. The banana, healthy option adds an element of humour and fun to along with the carrot and courgette muffin v pancake decision.
Contextuality I want to create this project because I think its simple and can be achieved well within 1 minute. It will help me develop my editing and cinematography skills. My influenseas its early in 2019 is new years resolutions and starting to fail them.
