  1. What to do if someone gets a paralytic stroke A Paralytic Stoke or Brain Stroke occurs when the blood supply to the brain cells gets interrupted, because of which the brain cells that stop receiving blood starts dying. There are 2 major reasons which cause the interruption of blood flow which is blood clot or burst blood vessel in the brain. Brain stroke results in paralysis which is a condition in which parts of the body starts becoming numb, resulting into loss of sense in those parts. There are certain types of paralysis which are most common which are Facial Paralysis: which causes paralysis in some parts of the face and that can be identified by checking the eye for any abnormal activity or through speech. The person with paralysis on parts of mouth won’t be able to speak properly. Partial Paralysis: One side of the body gets paralyzed and the person will experience numbness on one side and the other side will function properly. Paralysis on the Limbs: either hands or legs or both hands & legs will get paralyzed in this case. A reputed MD physician in Virar, who runs a Hospital for Paralytic Stroke called Sankalp Hospital, advises few vital steps to follow in order to save someone if they are getting a stroke. 1. Rush them to a nearest hospital: The first reaction if someone is experiencing stroke is to rush them to a hospital. The healthcare professionals can treat the person affected with stroke quickly and save their lives. 2. Keep track of symptoms: If someone dear is suddenly having a wobbly speech or feel numbness in any part of their body, it might be a sign of stroke. 3. Talk to the person: Speak with the person having stroke and try to get as much medical information as possible such as if that person is currently on any medication or have any medical condition or certain allergy. This information will be very helpful for the doctor to treat the patient well. 4. Encourage the person to lie down: During stroke a lot of things can happen, so encourage the person experiencing stroke to lie down straight, this also helps for better blood flow to the brain. 5. Perform CPR, if needed: Some stroke patients might feel difficulty breathing, so check the breathing of the patient and if needed perform CPR immediately. 6. Stay calm: Do not panic and try to make the above mentioned moves as quickly as possible since the patient might have very less time to get proper medical care in order to survive.
