1. My name is Vojtech. I am a 47-year-old IT specialist. I own and manage a communications company which maintains and services GSM operators’ base stations inSlovakia. I’m a nature lover and enjoy spending my summers in my sailboat. I believed that being on the sea was supposed to relax people and provide peace of mind, up until I witnessed the extremely unpleasantexperiencemybestfriendandhiswifehadtogothroughduringtheconstructionoftheirboat. The construction took 2 years to finish and during this period, me and my friend have regularly exchanged ideas, talked about the progress of the build, and visited the shipyard numerous times together. As a boat owner, I tried to advise him to the best of my knowledge. Indeed, he is a very knowledgeable engineer and a true boating enthusiast. Having witnessed their frustration, I have decided to put up this website in order to share our experiences and raise boating enthusiasts’ awareness. For privacy reasons, I decided to keep my friend’s identity anonymous throughout this website. It was towards the end of year 2013 that my best friend decided to build a semi-custom new yacht to enjoy his summertime together with his wife at sea. He had many world renowned builders to choose from, but after some consideration, he managed to get down to a short list of two Italian shipbuilders: BENETTI and SANLORENZO. He has decided to go with Sanlorenzo because he thought that they have shown more interest and “passion” towards his project; but it was not long before he and his surveyors started to notice some shocking exemplary stuff-ups. They were spreading all over the boat like a plague, starting right from the very first stages of construction. They grew bigger and bigger and finally went out ofcontrol! Now, the litigation is handled by the Arbitration Tribunal. This website does not mean to offend any person or private entity.
