SPREAD NETWORKSOriginal route Route length: 825 miles (1323.3 km) Fiber type: TrueWave RS Fiber latency (one way): 1323.3/299.792458*1.470 = 6.488659 ms
SPREAD NETWORKSRoute details Lab configuration is based on the Route topology.
SPREAD NETWORKSLink simulation • Proposed platform: hiT 7300 • Design tool: TransNet • Simulation assumptions (as per Table above): • Fiber: TW RS • Fiber attenuation: 0.225 dB/km (including fiber margin) • Additional connector loss: 2 x 0.25dB per span • DCM-free for minimum latency • Technology: CP QPSK (chromatic dispersion and PMD tolerant) • Capacity: 9.6 Tb/s (96 wavelength x 100 Gb/s) • For initial deployment the simulation has been performed for 48x40Gb/s + 48x100Gb/s. • No regeneration is required E2E, therefore the minimum possible system latency is achieved. • Based on the route topology and fiber type, the E2E round trip latency of the system is 13.06 msec.
