Central America is influenced by indigenous people and Spanish settlers. • The Caribbean is blended with indigenous groups with diverse influences from: • Spain, Great Britain, France, Africa, Netherlands (the Dutch), India, and China. • Population Density varies all over the region: • Guatemala = 302 people per square mile. • Belize = 33 people per square mile. • The Caribbean tends to have large densities due to small land area and large populations Population
