IV -Self-improvementand Collaboration among Airports Express Link Service • Passengers continue their trip to Hong Kong (Air-to-Sea) or China PRD (Air-to-Land) through the Macau Ferry Terminal or Border by taking transit buses available at the airside of the airport; • Passengers departing from Macau airport can also enjoy the same convenient service if they arrive to Macau via the Ferry Terminal; • No need of formalities at Immigration or Customs in Macau.

IV - Self-improvementand Collaboration among Airports The A5 FORUM • To strengthen the communication and co-operation between the five airports in the PRD. • The first PRD A5 Forum was held at Hong Kong International Airport in July 2001. • The forum agreed to: • Establish co-ordination and support for emergency landing • Joint promotion • Carry out joint studies on specific topics such as simplifying passenger and cargo handling procedures, safety and security, manpower training, etc.

IV - Self-improvementand Collaboration among Airports COOPERATION AMONG A5 AIRPORTS The Article 37 of the Chicago Convention (1944) postulates a principle appealing the following: “…Each contracting State undertakes to collaborate in securing the highest practicable degree of uniformity in regulations, standards, procedures and organisation in relation to aircraft, personnel, airways and auxiliary services in all matters in which such uniformity will facilitate and improve air navigation.”
