  2. Rumor has it…. • Facebook is working with cell phone maker INQ • Creating two cell phone devices; one touch screen, and one with a full keyboard • AT&T to be the carrier, debuting ~07/2011 • Run on Android (OS) & HTML5

  3. Facebook Phone • Pictures taken on phone will be automatically uploaded onto facebook album, instead of locally stored • GPS will link in with places, and calendar data will be used to educate the phone as to where you are, where you’re going and who you might be meeting there.

  4. What makes it different? The whole idea of the “Facebook phone” is that it is for people who want to access Facebook while on the go, but don’t want to fork out hundreds of dollars for a smartphone with lots of extra bells and whistles that they don’t want or need. It would also mean lower costs for operators as they don’t have to subsidize a hefty data plan.

  5. Pros • Facebook largest social networking site • Phone speculated to be less then $100 • Run on android

  6. Cons • All speculation • No wow factor, that separates it from a regular smart phone
