It is so hot on the range that the deer have to stand in water to keep their hoofs from burning - the antelope, of course, just keep on playing.
Life in the west is dry, hard, hot and harsh, but this Juniper tree is still alive (note needles on the left side).
The new truck worked great for crushing wild flowers and tormenting the environment.

On the down side, we were caught in the snow with dime sized hail on the top of Mt. Lassen -- YIKES!
