Negative and affirmative expressions • Sentences in Spanish may contain two negatives (double negative. Often no is used before the verb and another negative expression follows the verb.
Negative and affirmative expressions • When the words nada, nadie, nuncaand tampocoprecede the verb, the word no is omited. Nuncavoy de paseo en bote. • When these words follow the verb, another negative (no) is needed before the verb. No voy de paseo en botenunca. O No voynunca de paseo en bote.
