Committee Purpose\Methodology • Identify MDB system functional requirements. • Align system functional requirements with current hardware\software capabilities. • Assist in the establishment of Standard Operating Procedures for the procurement, installation, and maintenance of MBD hardware & software. • Provide a formal recommendation to the Emergency Services Committee for acceptance of the SOP’s created to be presented to the Board of County Commissioners for ratification. • Assist with the identification and initial rollout of “pilot” MDB’s for field\operational assessment. • Identify other data sharing\access opportunities should we be addressing.

  6. Project Challenges • 20 separate organizations in as many different locations. • Limited IT resources. Limited support. • Insufficient funding to complete the project. • Zero funding for operations, maintenance, and upgrades. • System vulnerabilities to county infrastructure by outside entities. • Historical inability for county staff to provide an acceptable level of service to the Fire\EMS community.
