  7. II. Incentives for Pursuing a HeavenlyLife(3:1,3,4) A. Union with Christ (vv. 1, 3a) • Since we are no longer in sin and are now in Christ, we should pursue a heavenly life. B. Security in Christ (v. 3b) • We can never lose eternal life since our new life is buried in Christ. C. Glorification with Christ (v. 4) • In eternity we will realize everything we have hoped for in Christ.
