  2. Einstein’s Background • Einstein was born in Ulm, Württemberg, Germany in 1879. • Albert had died on April 18, 1955, in Princeton, New Jersey. • His family was a secular, middle-class Jewish family.

  3. What did Einstein Study? • Albert had mostly studied Physics, along with Mathmatics. • Albert had won a Nobel Prize in for Physics in 1921, for his explanation for the photoelectric effect.

  4. Why was Einstein important? • Albert Einstein was considered one of the greatest thinkers of all time. • Einstein’s theories of nature of time, and space had profundly affected the human conception of the physical world and had set many foundations for scientific advances for the 20th century.

How did he get into Science? • In early October 1896 he received his school-leaving certificate and shortly enrolled at the EidgenoessischePolytechnischeSchule with the goal of becoming a teacher in Mathematics and Physics. Einstein had been an average student and finished his studies with a diploma degree in July, 1900. He then applied, without success, for assistantships at the PolytechnischeSchule and other Universities. Meanwhile he had abandoned the German Citizenship and formally applied for the Swiss Citizenship which he was granted on February 21, 1901.

  9. How has Einstein changed the way we think? • Einstein had uncovered many Mathmatical equations that were hard to solve. • Einstein had also proved a couple of Physics theories. • He had explained and, changed the way we think of how space really is space.
