  4. Who were involved in National Service? • National Service includes all male that have turn 18 to join. Also, they will join National Service for a year. Usually, some are in National Service between their 18 and late 20. 1

  6. Why National service was created. • It was because GohKengSwee wanted to strengthen Singapore’s Military and domestics. 3

How do people think of NS? • There are a few answers, but most say a negative comment. • One of the people that go through NS said that National Service can be one of the most enjoyable thing in his life and it is once in a lifetime. • Meanwhile, some said that Ns is not good because it is extremely tough. 4

What did the people do before entering NS? • They went for fitness check-up to see whether which type of category should they enter. • They must cut their hairs and register their name. • They need to do a particular test to see of they need to add a few months of training or reduce some months of training. 5
