This study compares the testing of zone or grid samples to conventional whole field composite samples for various crops in Canada from 1986 to 2016. The variability of soil nitrate, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, sulfur, organic matter, chloride, copper, boron, soil pH, carbonate, and salts is analyzed. Manitoba samples testing with salts greater than 1.0 mmhos/cm are also included.
