WORSHIP 2. Worship is loved by God. (A) Genesis 4.4 But Able brought fat portions from some of the first born of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering. (B) Genesis 8.20, 21 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it. The Lord smelled pleasing aroma and said in His heart “Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood….” 17

Worship in the House of the Lord (A) Jeremiah 26.2 This is what the Lord says, Stand in the court yard of the Lord’s house and speak to all the people of the towns of Judah, who come to worship in the House of the Lord (B) Luke 24.52,53 Then they worshipped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and they stayed continously in the temple, praising God. 16
WORSHIP 4. God’s divine presence is in our midst while worshipping (A) Isaiah 56.7 These I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar, for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations. WORSHIP 5.Worship is demanded by the Lord (A) Psalms 45.11 The king is enthralled by your beauty, honor Him, for He is your Lord (B) Psalms 96. 8,9 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name, bring an offering and come in to His courts. Worship the Lord in the splendor of His Holiness, tremble before Him all the earth. 14

WORSHIP 7. Worship enables to understand the scriptures Acts 8.27 So he started out, and so on his way met an Ethiopian enuch, an important official in charge of all the treasuries of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians. This man has gone to Jerusalem to worship. 12
WORSHIP 8. Why we should worship? (A) Psalms 100.4, 5 Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures for ever, His faithfulness continues to all generations. (B) Psalms 99.5 Exalt the Lord our God and worship at His footstool, He is holy 11
WORSHIP 9. Worship casts away sorrow Isaiah 51.11 The ransomed of the Lord will return. They will enter Zion with singing. Everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them and sorrow and sighing will flee away 10
WORSHIP 10. Worship is gratitude to God. Colossians 3. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. 9
WORSHIP 11. Worship is gazing upon the beauty of the Lord Psalms 27.14 One thing I ask of the Lord, this what I seek, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple 8
WORSHIP • Worship enables us to put trust in the Lord Psalms 40.3 He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord.
WORSHIP 13. Worship is the fruit of our lips Hebrews 13.15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise, the fruit of lips that confess His name. 7
