Girls Rule Interp Video - 6:11 Boundary Restart “If the goalkeeper is the closest to the ball when it crosses the boundary, she will remain in her goal circle to restart play on the whistle.” • Only applies if she is in her goal circle when the ball goes out of bounds. • If she is out of her goal circle and closest to the ball, normal boundary restart. She does not return to her goal circle.
Girls Rule Interp Video - 7:13 Goal Circle Violation Penalty Administration “The goalkeeper may return to the goal circle if she is above the goal line extended unless she fouled the opponent or she is closest to incident that stopped play.” • Voiceover applies to alternate possession administration. • Rule 7 Penalties 1-b: The goalkeeper remains on the spot of the foul, or if she was within or partially within the goal circle, she remains inside.
Rulebook 4-8-2 The shot is deemed complete when: … • This only applies when a shot is taken as time expires. This criteria has no impact upon game administration throughout the rest of the game. • For example, a shot that goes out of bounds during regular play is still a shot and possession will be determined as usual. (See Rule 6-3-2)
Rulebook 5-4 Restarting Play If the official needs to reset play for any reason, the restart should be based on the initial incident. • If self-start is an option, the player shall be able to self-start after the reset. • If restart requires a whistle, the official shall blow her whistle to restart play after the reset.
Rulebook 5-4-4 “Self-start is not an option when: • The foul is in the critical scoring area” This includes three seconds and will be a whistle restart even if the ball is outside the critical scoring area.
Rulebook 5-4-4 If the player self-starts when self-starts are not allowed, the official shall blow the whistle, reset the play, and play shall commence on the whistle. Exception of self-starting on offensive free positions on an 8-meter hash. This shall be a false start.
Rulebook 10-1 Penalties f. If the foul occurs within the “pie shape area” between the 8-mter arc and goal line extended, the penalty will be administered on the hanging hash mark and the penalty zone is cleared.
