My recent meetings with the main RPA providers made it clear that RPA is changing to new forms of adoption and implementation. But the suppliers also made it clear that the true promise of RPA is being lost in flashy headlines and exaggerated marketing messages.Here are my five recommendations on how companies can drown noise and take advantage of the real benefits of RPA. The question "Should I perform an RPA?" It has been answered and is being replaced by "How can I take advantage of the RPA to get the most value?" As you can see in the graph below, the benefits of the RPA are very real. Almost all the companies we've talked to are getting real savings: typically, about 30 percent lower and an improvement of 30 to 50 percent in accuracy, cycle time, staff productivity, etc. The experimentation is over: the value is real
Despite all the hype, companies must remember that RPA providers are not selling a digital workforce; they are selling software that can accelerate, improve and support many processes currently performed by staff members. While this is sophisticated software, it is not a physical entity or an army of robots. It may be tempting to get lost in the images, but companies must be careful not to lose sight of what they are getting. Otherwise, you can leave with the feeling that the suppliers have overpromised and delivered little. Forget releases of RPA vendors
From OCR to NLP and intelligent automation, there is no shortage of RPAbuzzwords. But the labels themselves do not matter. What matters is the ability to identify processes that use valuable personnel resources, limiting operational improvement or decreasing the customer or employee experience. Companies must start with the process they want to improve and then approach the supplier with that specific need as a starting point in the context of their general automation, including the RPA trip and beyond. Focus on Operational Foundations • The basic concepts for building an enterprise automation capability can seem incredibly easy ... until it is obvious that it is not. Some companies, without a doubt, acquire robots for the simple automation of plug-and-play. • But when critical mission processes come into play, serious and complex problems come into play, such as business-level security and business continuity, which must be approached with care and attention. Do not let these problems become barriers to the adoption of RPA (as many companies do) because, if implemented well, the benefits far outweigh the risks.

However, at the end of the day, choose to move forward with RPA technology, start by considering the use cases and business requirements of your company. Then, build the business cases to support them. And then release your automation team with a new set of increasingly interesting capabilities.
