The overall objective of the Project – To facilitate cooperation in the field of culture between Russian Federation (Great Novgorod region, Staraya Ladoga), Sweden and Denmark based on the common rich historical background from Viking époque. Interactive show, SHUM GORA Batetsky region, 2011
Objectives and tasks: To make historical and cultural heritage more available to the wide public and to raise the awareness To establish the Network and long-term international cooperation among museums, archeological scientists and historians To establish the open air Viking Age archeological site museum in Batetsky region of Novgorod oblastj To create a new touristic destination attractive for cultural travelers, including the site museum in Batetsky region as well as already existing Rurikovo Gorodishe and “Slavic Villiage” in Lubyatino; to get skills and knowledgein promotion of local cultural destinations, using culture as a motor for the regional development Finds of Nordic origin in Novgorod oblastj
