6. How does TED work? A power line carrier signal is sent from the breaker panel to the Display Unit Measuring Transmitting Unit and set of Current Transformers connect inside the breaker panel Electricity produced by utility travels to homes in the breaker panel Homeowners can save an average of 10-15% off their electricity bill by monitoring usage

7. What are the main components? Measuring Transmitting Unit and Current Transformers Remote Display Unit The Current Transformers clamp around the two main incoming conductors of a panel. The Measuring Transmitting Unit wires into a breaker to transmit the power line carrier signal. The Remote Display Unit plugs into an outlet and delivers real time data. Homeowners can instantly see their current usage, project monthly bills, and see their total usage thus far in the billing cycle.
