  3. Background • She was born in Springfield, Ohio in 1898. • In 1923 she apprenticed for Man Ray. • 1921 she headed to Europe, studying sculpturing. • She was raised by her divorced mother

  5. Educational Background • She graduated from Ohio State University • In 1921 she moved to Paris to Study with a sculptor named Emilie Bourdelle.

  13. General Opinions • These pictures are taken from remarkable angles. • I like her perception of her world. • These pictures show us the little things that many dis-regard as normal. • The only thing I don’t like is the age (black and white), I think these pictures would look great in color.
