  1. Dholera International Airport Construction Progressing Rapidly – Dholera Update The Dholera International Airport Project is expected to be operational by the financial year 2025-26. The runway construction is already in full swing, according to reliable resources from the state government. The construction of the Dholera International Airport Project in Ahmadabad was approved by the Union cabinet committee nine months ago. The newly developed airport will be located 103km from Ahmedabad. Once construction completes, it will be the second international airport in Gujarat. The core responsibility of the project is taken up by Dholera International Airport Company Limited, a joint venture between the Airports Authority of India GoG and the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust. The government has already allocated Rs 1,305 crore for the project. The proposed airport construction news has already filled the builders’ enthusiasm. As a result, many smart city projects have already been introduced. The Dholera smart city project, or Dholera SIR, will likely attract nationwide investors. The smart city will have the following salient features: The project is recognized as the country’s first Smart City. The area of the Smart City will be twice that of Delhi and six times of Shanghai.

The Smart City will have amazing connectivity with all types of transport, i.e., rail, air, road, and more. Facts About Dholera International Airport The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is building the Dholera International Airport in the village of Navagam, located near Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The airport will eventually be able to handle 50 million people per year. The new airport is being built in Saurashtra as part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). It is in the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR). The airport will have a ” aerocity ” business area on 75 hectares, as well as cargo facilities and two runways that are 3200 meters and 4000 meters long. After the first phase of construction at Dholera International Airport is finished in 2025, the airport will have the capacity to handle 1.5 million passengers annually. When the airport is fully operational, it will be able to handle 50 million people annually. Connectivity of the Airport The project’s location may be located to the south of the Ahmedabad city and the north of the Dholera Smart City and Bhavanagar.
