This is achieved by carefully considering all your requirements:- • Cost -> Schedule -> Manufacturing Requirements. • Typically Microdex can turn round a simple low density design demonstrators in approximately 13-16 weeks. This would include schematic capture, PWB layout and embedded software. These timescales apply to development programs which do not use specific new technology components on long lead times. Our focus for fast turnaround is to select readily available components from sources such as RS and FARNELL, or indeed sample sources direct from the manufacturer. This enables you to evaluate the technology and your concept quickly and stay ahead of your competition. During the design we also consider costing of parts for mass production, ensuring that when your ready the design can hit the production line running. • For larger projects Microdex can support your development on a time plus materials basis. This is usually the preferred costing method for projects involving higher development risk whether in terms of technology or overall application size. • For smaller low risk projects and developments Microdex can provide fixed price quotations.
