OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT • To review the status of the national Water Framework Directive implementation • To review the existing national EIONET-Water network • To provide support to develop the EIONET-Water network • To review other previous, current and planned projects Extension of the EEA European Topic Centre’s Work Program to the West Balkan Countries in the field of water
OBJECTIVE OF THE MEETING • To review the status of the national Water Framework Directive implementation in Serbia and in Montenegro • To summarise the available EIONET-Water information, and identify gaps • To discuss the EIONET-Water methodologies to enable the country to further develop its EIONET-Water network • To review other previous, current and planned projects in in Serbia and in Montenegro Extension of the EEA European Topic Centre’s Work Program to the West Balkan Countries in the field of water
GOALS TO ACHIEVE DURING THE MEETING • For national experts: • Reach a thorough understanding of the processes, methodologies and targets of the EEA • For ETC-Experts: • Get information on: • Status of WFD implementation in Serbia and in Montenegro • Existing and planned (WFD compliant) monitoring network • Other projects in Serbia and in Montenegro • For all: • Reach a common understanding of how to facilitate and improve the EIONET data flow from Serbia and from Montenegro Extension of the EEA European Topic Centre’s Work Program to the West Balkan Countries in the field of water
