Even when change has been forced upon you, it’s still your choice … • Head in sand … don’t do anything • Turn world upside down … stress lots but achieve little • Review, refine, adapt and keep moving forward
Get back in the Driver’s seat • Your current financial picture • List $$$ incoming Vs $$$ outgoing • Set your goals • Needs vs. Wants • Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Timeframe • Your action plan • Weigh up Pro & Cons to prioritise • Get on with it • Reality, Responsibility, Restraint • Keep it moving
Starting Simply • Determine your budget • Determine your cash flow • Plan your next steps • Reward any milestone achievements We often find that when people take a little time to find out what their cash flow looks like and get it on paper, they become much calmer and less stressed about their finances. It puts them back in control by giving them clarity about what they need to do financially.
Think like a business Income Statement Income Expenses vs Balance Sheet Liabilities Assets vs Dig out all those superannuation and insurance statements you haven’t really taken an interest in for some time. There could be actions you need to take to improve or maintain your situation while temporarily out of the workforce.
