Logical Approach Literature Review • One article called: “Written Exposure Therapy for Veterans Diagnosed with PTSD: A Pilot Study” took a group of 7 veterans with PTSD and used a similar treatment concept as Moving On. Three months after the program 5 out of the 7 veterans did not meet the criteria to be diagnosed with PTSD. PTSD treatment plans usually have very high drop out rates yet exposure therapy has the lowest percentage of patient dropouts. Only one patient left this study throughout the course of the treatment. • The article “The Use of Exposure-Based Treatment Among Individuals With PTSD and Co-occurring Substance Use Disorders: Clinical Considerations” highlights that exposure based therapy is currently the best and most effect option for treating PTSD. • “A pilot study of a 12-week model of group-based exposuretherapy for veterans with PTSD.” This program used veterans diagnosed with PTSD from Iraq, Afghanistan and Vietnam. The treatment phase was reduced from 16 weeks to 12 weeks and the veterans were put through intense reimagining's of their traumatic experiences. By the end of the 12 weeks no one had withdrawn from the program and all subjects showed significant reduction in PTSD symptoms.

Data Analysis • For my project I used a crosstab with chi square and then a logistics regression.
Significance • My program did not work because .548 > .250 which means my data is not statistically significant.
