  1. Sunny BAdventures Vacation Photos

  2. Well, I've been back at my desk for two months now. Whoever said "hindsight is 20/20" knows what they're talking about. My negative vacation balance is just depressing. The five month vacation was fun at the time, but now I'm not sure if I'll dig out before next summer. I feel so pinned down. I worked the entire holiday and the SRs just keep pouring in with no end in sight. I found something on a colleague's desk that I'm hoping will help.

  3. The book I read gave several suggestions on ways to reduce stress. I did further research on the internet and came up with even more. Exercise seems to be a big one. I definitely need to add this to my routine since I just hang on the wall all day. Besides reducing stress, it might also help me not be so squishy. One of the other suggestions was getting or visiting a pet. I thought if one of these suggestions was good, two at once must be even better. But, it didn’t work out quite like I'd planned. In fact, I think it added to my stress level.

  4. Yoga was highly recommended as a form of relaxation to help combat stress. It has both physical and mental benefits. I was able to master several of the poses but had a real hard time with the meditation. It’s hard to focus your thoughts when the guy next to you smells like cheese.

  5. Studies show that venting your stress can increase life expectancy. So it’s important to have a good friend to talk things over with. They'll probably be more prone to listen if you take them out for a treat. Reducing your caffeine intake was another suggestion to help relieve stress. Now I know for an absolute certainty that you cannot believe everything you read on the internet.

  6. A well balanced diet is crucial in preserving health and helping to reduce stress. I decided to start the day right with some whole grains and fresh fruit. I guess I’ll be making breakfast on the 3rd floor next time..

  8. I returned so they could work on the tension in my back. It seems to have helped but I don’t know how I’m going to explain this hickey like mark.

  9. . Music therapy is another suggestion for alleviating stress. I read that music can be a significant mood changer. I’m not sure if it’s working as intended. I may need to increase my music library.

  10. Nothing like a hot stone massage on a cold day. The heat is deeply relaxing and helps release my tight muscles.

  11. I read that laughter lowers blood pressure, reduces stress hormones, increases muscle flexion, and boosts immune function. Here’s a sampling from my latest find…Chapter 1 Old Standbys: Q: How many managers does it take to change a light bulb?A: None. They like to keep employees in the dark.Chapter 4 Drink & Be Merry: A man walks into a bar with a newt on his shoulder. He told the bartender that the newt’s name was Tiny.“Why?” asks the bartender. “Because he’s my newt!”Chapter 5 In Bad Taste:Two cannibals were sitting by a fire and one says, “Gee, I hate my mother-in-law.”And the other says, “So, try the potatoes.”Chapter 6: Professionally SpeakingWhy won’t sharks eat lawyers? Professional courtesy..
