Overview • This paper presents a concise description of OPTM • It’s a computational model for the On-line Processing of Tonal Melodies.
Key Finder 1) The stabilities of the 12 tones in the major key in the (harmonic) minor key. 2) The activation of each of the 24 keys is determined as the sum of the stabilities of the input notes. 3) The key with the highest activation is selected as the key of the piece.
