When eating continental or European Style what piece of silverware is in: • Right HAND: Knife • Left Hand: FORK
When eating American Style what piece of silverware is in: • RIGHT Hand: Knife • Left Hand: Fork

Rule #6 • Wait • until you’re done chewing to sip or swallow a drink. • (unless your choking) To begin to eat until everyone is served.
Rule #7 • Cut only one piece of food at a time.
Rule #8 • Avoid Slouching and don’t place your elbows on the table while EATING (it is okay to prop your elbows on the table while conversing and between courses.
Rule #9 • Instead reaching across the table for something, ask for it to be passed to you.
Rule #10 • Always say “excuse me” whenever you leave the table.
