Definition • The Eight Commandment basically means in it’s most general form is to not to lie to people and to always tell the truth.
Demand • Stand for the truth. • Always tell the truth. • Never use the truth against others.
Kinds of Lying • Boasting - lies that make people look good to others to gain their favour. • Gossiping - talking about people’s private life which is only believed to be true . • Flattery - gaining favour of others by giving them good remarks which are not true. • Perjury - wilful giving of false testimonies under oath.
Alibi - lies caused by the fear to escape from punishment. • Saving face - lies to preserve one’s supposed good image before others or to avoid possible consequences. • Inconsideration - can sometimes be lies if it is done to avoid trouble or to support something which is known to be wrong.
Story • Once upon a time there lived a student named Shen Moyoyo, he is a Filipino student from the Near South Western University. One day he heard a rumour about his worst enemy named Shiloh Watson. They were studying about the 8th Commandment. He learned so much in the commandment that he followed it by not spreading the rumour about Shiloh Watson, he then told the rumour to Shiloh and they lived happily ever after.
