  3. Language Arts standards emphasize reading and writing in great quantity and variety Reading Goal: 20 books

  4. Daily Agenda • Look at the board • What to do with homework • Do Now • Lesson activities • Homework and reminders

  5. Homework

  6. Purpose • Practice a skill learned in class • A step in a part of a larger assignment/project • Review/preparation for assignment or test

  7. Homework • Formal assignments (on paper) 2-3 days each week • Reading each weekend, sometimes during the week • No paper homework on weekends except for projects

  8. Homework • Please see class information sheet or website for policies • Homework 1 day late = ½ credit • Not possible to complete HW in school!

  19. PowerSchool • Update PowerSchool once a week • Class work & Participation posted as a weekly total • Post quiz, test, project and writing grades as soon as all are graded • Quizzes, tests, projects and writing assignments rarely graded and posted the same day
