TWG Introduction Purpose of Technical Working Group (TWG) The eCommerce Software Developer (SwD) Technical Working Group (TWG) was formed on 10 September 2013. Initially for the transition of ELS2SBR, but through natural evolution became the known TWG for information sharing, discussion of options and decisions for a united approach between ATO and SWD community for all service delivery via the eCommerce platform The purpose of the TWG is to discuss and resolve messaging design issues in the context of the eCommerce Platform wholesale service interactions where there is material impact on software developers. The core messaging capabilities supported by the eCommerce Platform are: • Standard Business Reporting (SBR) Core Services, • SBR ebMS3, • Bulk Data Exchange (BDE), and • Electronic Commerce Interface (ECI). Meetings generally occur every 4 weeks, on a Thursday at 2pm for 1 hour , via a phone hook-up as per the upcoming engagement calendar. Note: The “eCommerce SwD TWG” is currently undergoing a name change to “ATO-SwD Partnership Event – Technical Working Group (TWG)”.
TWG Introduction Some past items discussed over last 6 months • Various proposed service designs for new SBR enabled services like: • Payment Arrangement Plan • Payment Deferral • Business Registrations and Maintenance • Various lower level option papers like: • SBR TFNDec Taxonomy changes for TT16 and STP • Returning Reference numbers for the SBR ebMS3 channel • Various initiatives and potential high level designs like: • Cloud software authentication and authorisation • Handling Individual Income Tax Return (IITR) for TT16, including implementation options for Prefill and Lodgment • Features & Requirements for providing SwDs with a monitoring service, where SwDs can see what SBR services are up, down, response times, planned outages, etc. • Other relevant items like: • TT16 Release Schedule Updates • ATO SBR ebMS3 channel performance results
