Calibration • The BioPhotonic Scanner requires calibration before each scan session. • The standards used to calibrate the instrument are contained in the calibration cap (attached to the scanner with a lanyard) • There are two reference materials. One with a high BDS, the other with a low BDS. • These Calibration Caps are specific to each Scanner. If lost or damaged, it will become necessary to be re-calibrated at factory (returned at lessee’s expense)

Scanner Lights (2 of 2) • There is light on the back of the scanner. It indicates the status of the communications between the Laptop and the Scanner. • A Red Light indicates normal or “ready status”. A Yellow Light indicates that the scanner is communicating to the laptop in the process of performing a scan. Rear “Communication” Light
Traveling with the Scanner • Only travel with the Scanner with the appropriate Scanner custom case! • DO NOT leave the Scanner in a car overnight or in a cold climate • You may check the Scanner onto an airplane. The case is to large to “carry on” a plane. • For airline travel, we suggest that you check the Scanner at the gate. This will allow you to escort the Scanner through security.
Other Important Information • UPS is a good idea, but not required. • If security sticker is breached, a $7000 fee will be assessed, and the scanner will be kept by Pharmanex. • Remove laser key and safety interlock plug prior to packing. • Ship scanner in a cardboard box w/ foam or bubble wrap. Operator will be held responsible for damage to the black case.
Conclusion • Have fun using the scanner. It is a incredible tool for demonstrating the power of LifePak! • Roll with the punches! With this early opportunity to get a “Version 1.0” scanner, some challenges may occur. • You are not on your own. We have a tremendous support staff to make this technology work for you. • Give us feedback as to your experiences. It will provide us with invaluable information for improving the scanner in the future.
