General Update (1) • Core datasets update (IP/ OP/ Thrombolysis) • - Proformas and definitions released as planned pre Christmas and • routine use commence use 1st January 2010 • - Prospective data collection commenced 1st January 2010 • - Quick notes support document finalised and circulated • Carotid Intervention Project • - Agreement to run as a pilot project • - Proposed sites – Grampian and Lothian • - Proposed timescale – commence 1st April 2010 – 30th Sept 2010 • - Proforma and definitions being finalised and SSCAS modified • - Process and validation methods being finalised

General Update (2) • IT Development • - Continuing with SSCAS in the interim • - SSCA IT development included in QIT programme business plan and • has been added as a priority to the ISD overall business plan • - Meeting being held 28th January with IT leads to discuss the way • forward • - Aim is to have new IT system in place by end 2010

Objectives for next six months - January 2010 Finalise carotid intervention proforma and definitions documents Commence Carotid Intervention Pilot Establish process and content of monthly reports Finalise validation processes Central Database IT Development Publish Annual Report – June 2010 (Consider Easy Access Version for public) Publish Newsletter – April/ May 2010 Redesign and update SSCA website Evaluate Patient/ Carer Information Leaflet and Poster Reprint posters and leaflets (Easy Access Leaflet) Visit Audit Co-ordinators on site Visit MCNs/ Management Teams to discuss results of 2009 Report (2008 outcomes) and Action Plans submitted Standard Operating Procedures Pre Hospital dataset HEAT Target Medical Profiles
