Academics / Credits • The AYF Consortium is composed of UW-Madison, Michigan State University, University of Iowa and University of Michigan • Credit earned in Freiburg countasclassestakenat Michigan • AYF students generally earn 27 credits or more during their year in Freiburg • Most AYF students return to the United States with greatly improved German proficiency • Most AYF students are double majors, earning many German credits while abroad • Students may take courses outside of the German department to earn credit towards additional majors
Housing Options • AYF students live in 12 buildings in five different residence halls • 10-15 minutes from university • „plug and play“ Internet service included in rent • Single rooms, 120-140 square feet • Subsidized rent (ranging from 238 to 326 Euros / month in 2015-16) e.g. Studentendorf Vauban
