What You Will Do • Log on to your course frequently • Abide by Internet Safety Guidelines • Adhere to Whittier Union High School District’s Internet acceptable use policy • Complete assignments in a timely manner • Actively participate in online discussions • Let your teacher know if you have questions or problems

Have a Backup Plan • Save your work! • Have a backup plan if your computer breaks down • You are still responsible to participate in class and complete assignments • Find a computer to use as a backup • Friends, neighbor, SVHS computer lab, SVHS Test Center, grandparent, public library, school library

  4. Resources There are a wide variety of resources available to help you learn the material in your online classes. These include: • Video • Readings • Links to other Web Sites • Quizzes • Assignments • Message Forums

  5. Teacher • Your teacher wants you to succeed in your online classes. Ask questions! • via email • Message Forums • Telephone • Stop by during office hours • Your teacher will answer email promptly; usually within 24 hours or less • the teacher might not respond during weekends or holidays until the next school day – especially if they’re out of town
