3. DI CHE COSA SI TRATTA?WHAT ARE THEY ABOUT? Si tratta di gare di corsa organizzate dalla società A.I.C.S. e patrocinate dal Comune di Milano. Gli alunni delle scuole elementari e medie si ritrovano nel mese di feb- braio per disputare le gare dei 50 e 500 metri. Ad Aprile le prime 16 scuole classificate si confrontano nuovamente disputando le staffette dei 4 x 50 mt. Ecco i risultati ottenuti dalla nostra scuola nell’anno scolastico 2004’05: • The children are challenged with track races organized by “società AICS” with the patronage of the Town Hall and the Province of Milan. • Primary and mid school students then every February and March to run the 50 and 500 metres races. • In april the first 16 school meet again for the final challenge:the 4 x 50 mts relay • Here are the results for the year 2003/2004

9. I giochi di istituto si svolgono in un sabato pomeriggio di Prima - vera in una pista di Atletica vicino alla nostra scuola. Si tratta di gare di atle- tica a cui partecipano tutti gli alunni della scuola. School sports games are held on one Spring Saturday afternoon. Parents and children all gather on a near by athletic track.

10. Lo scorso anno hanno gareggiato circa 400 gio- vani atleti. Le gare previste sono: Corsa 50 mt. Corsa 200 mt. Staffetta 50 x 4 Salto in lungo Gli alunni gareggiano divisi per anno di nascita e sesso. Last year games registered the partecipation of about 400 pupils. Challenged with: 50 meter run 200 meter run 50 x 4 relay Long jump. Pupils partecipate according to their sex and age.

11. È prevista una gara di corsa veloce per i genitori e una per i bambini della Materna iscritti alla nostra Scuola. Al termine della gara di corsa veloce tutti gli atleti ricevono una medaglia di partecipa – zione mentre i migliori atleti salgono sul podio per ricevere una medaglia di…. In the near future both parents and Infant school children will be asked to run the fast race. At the end of the race the young athlets receive a partecipation medal whereas the best athlets walk up the podium to collect their …………………….

12. bronzo, d’argento o d’oro. La prossima edizione dei GIOCHI D’ISTITUTO sarà la XXVII. bronze, silver or gold medal. Next edition of the games will be number 27.

20. SGAMBAMELATA • La Sgambamelata è una marcia non competitiva che parte dalla scuola e si snoda per le strade e i giardini situati nel nostro quartiere. La marcia si svolge in una domenica mattina del mese di Maggio. Sono invitati alla marcia tutti gli alunni, gli insegnanti, i genitori, i parenti e gli amici. Al termine della marcia tutti si ritrovano all’interno del cortile per una merenda e per tentare la fortuna con la pesca organizzata dai genitori.

21. This is a non competitive walk which startes from the school and evolves through streets and parks near by the school. The walk takes place on a Sunday morning in May. Students, teachers, parents and friends are all invited to the walk. At the end everybody gather on the school playground for a snack and for the school lottery organized by the parents.
