Solo Ads Experts Matthew Barnett Prashant Sharma Following are the questions that Prashant asked Matthew Barnett about Solo Ads Business during their brief conversation. Powered by SoloAdsX.com
Question 1: What kind of offers converts the best with solo ads? Most solo ads sellers build their lists in the Internet Marketing (IM), Make Money Online (MMO) and Business Opportunity (Bizop) areas. Offers in these niches will convert best. …but there are some other offers that also work with those kinds of lists. Currently, there are a lot of Bitcoin-related offers around, many of which also work well with these kinds of lists.
Question 1: What kind of offers converts the best with solo ads? My lists are all built in IM/MMO/Bizop and have a TON of fresh subscribers (I normally add thousands of new subscribers per day to my lists). My best advice for anyone reading this, thinking about running a solo ad for the first time, or to an offer they haven’t sent to before, really, is just contact me with details of what you’re thinking of sending to and I’ll let you know if I think it’s a good idea or not.
Question 1: What kind of offers converts the best with solo ads? Over the 7 years, I’ve been running my solo business, I’ve seen thousands of offers that my customers have sent to and I have a good idea what is likely to work and what won’t!
Question 2: What is better when it comes to getting conversions? Mixed Clicks, Pure Solos, Tier 1 only Solo Ads or something else? In my experience, Mixed Clicks often give a much higher opt in rate than ‘Pure Email’ solo ads. Some offers work well with international traffic but most are geared towards English speaking countries so Tier 1 traffic works well.
Question 2: What is better when it comes to getting conversions? Mixed Clicks, Pure Solos, Tier 1 only Solo Ads or something else? Some offers are only applicable in certain countries (eg USA only) so it’s always best to check the offer you are sending to before purchasing traffic. Some vendors (like me) are happy to offer customers various options such as 90% T1, 100% T1 or 100% USA. The price per click will vary though based on the geographic profile of the traffic.
Question 3: How are solo ads different from FB Ads? Which is better according to you? Solo ads and FB ads are very different. FB ads are generally quite expensive and restrictive in what you can promote. They also come with a load of Terms and Conditions that you must adhere to with regard to what is on your webpage. They can, however, be excellent for targeting very specific local geographic areas (say you are running an event for local parents and want to attract people from a 10-mile radius of the event).
Question 3: How are solo ads different from FB Ads? Which is better according to you? Solo ads, on the other hand, work very well with offers where exact locations aren’t so important. You will also find most solo ads sellers are far less restrictive in what they will send to and far less worried about whether you have chosen to put things like a ‘privacy policy’ on your web page.
Question 3: How are solo ads different from FB Ads? Which is better according to you? Solos also have the advantage of driving people to your ad that are specifically interested in the niche you are promoting. So really, it’s not so much a case of ‘which is better’ as much as it’s a case of ‘they do different things’. But if you’re going to push me for an answer, I’m obviously going to say solo ads…specifically great quality solo ads from intelligent, hard-working, honest, reliable and devastatingly handsome vendors such as myself.
Question 4: What is the #1 solo ad buying hack that you can tell us? (Since most of the readers are going to be buyers of solo ads). Make sure you buy from established solo ad sellers who know what they are doing and have been in the business a long time. There are some shady characters out there who pop up and go again in days or weeks who are often not who they say they are and who will provide ‘fake’ clicks – non-human traffic called ‘bots’.
Question 4: What is the #1 solo ad buying hack that you can tell us? (Since most of the readers are going to be buyers of solo ads). The best way to avoid these kinds of scams is to go with someone who is clearly serious about the business and has a long established reputation to protect.
Question 5: What is the biggest mistake people make while buying solo ads? The biggest mistake I see people who are new to solos make is not budgeting enough and not buying enough traffic. To give any offer a decent go, you really need to buy at least 500 – 1000 clicks to see if it works with the traffic you send. There’s almost no point ‘testing’ an offer with say 100 clicks.
Question 5: What is the biggest mistake people make while buying solo ads? If you’re expecting a sales conversion rate of say 2% on average, even if your squeeze page converts at 50%, you will get ON AVERAGE one sale per 100 clicks. But life isn’t quite as regular as that. You could get zero sales or 4 sales. But really that won’t tell you anything statistically. It could be a fluke either way.
Question 5: What is the biggest mistake people make while buying solo ads? But if you’ve run 1,000 clicks and have 40 sales from it, you can be pretty sure the averages have averaged out and this is the kind of result you can expect to get if you scale up. Also, if you buy more clicks from the outset, you’re likely to get a better ‘cost per click’ (CPC) from your vendor.
Question 6: What are the opt-in and conversion rates can be expected from a solo ad run? I’ve seen clients get anything from 10% opt-in on a terrible page that they insisted on using, to 70% on a truly exceptional page. Typical results from a good squeeze page are around 40 – 50% but it really depends on how relevant the squeeze page is, how many fields you are asking the person to fill out and a whole bunch of other things.
Question 6: What are the opt-in and conversion rates can be expected from a solo ad run? I guarantee 40% to my customers when they buy and take up my offer of consulting with them before sending the traffic, provided they make any changes I suggest before the run starts. I’ve been selling solo ads for years now and so I’ve seen thousands of squeeze pages – I can pretty quickly tell you what works and what doesn’t!
Question 7: How should the follow-up sequence be? 1 email per day? Value Driven? Pure Push Marketing Emails? or something else? If you are pushing hard to promote a specific opportunity, you might want to have a couple of follow-ups per day to really engage your new subscribers and raise their awareness of the opportunity. Alternatively, if you are just building an email marketing list that you want to engage with your own offers as well as a variety of offers from other marketers, you would probably do well to try to bond with your subscribers as strongly as possible.
Question 7: How should the follow-up sequence be? 1 email per day? Value Driven? Pure Push Marketing Emails? or something else? Offer information about yourself, what you do and how you can help people. Build trust, so that when it comes to recommending opportunities to your list they know who you are and why they should listen to you.
Question 8: What are the top 5 products/services that you just can’t run your business without? (1) Autoresponders (ARs) (2) Tracking Tools (3) Spreadsheets (4) Facebook Messenger (5) Skype
Question 9: What is your #1 tip for anyone using solo ads to promote their business? Make sure you can track your results! Test everything in your funnel before you start sending traffic. Ask for advice from an expert!
