What Types of Visas are Available for Bahrain

Depending on various purpose of visits, the ministry of interior, national, passport and residence affairs, Kingdom of Bahrain has classified the characteristics of visa- purpose of visit, sponsorship requirement, standard or E-visa, multiple or single entry, place of issue. All persons who wish to visit Bahrain, need a visa except the citizen of Gulf countries.<br>The concepts of the classified characteristics of visa application are explained below:<br>Purpose: You have to be fair and clear about the purpose of your visit. The reasons include, tourism, business or work related visa, residence visa, education, medical or anything which according to the law of Bahrain is legal.<br>Sponsorship requirement: Most visa of Bahrain must be sponsored, which is obtained for you by Bahrain companies, hotels or travel agents. Unsponsored visas do exist for certain countries, groups or purposes.<br>Standard or E visa: Standard visas are visible in the passport as stamp or label and E visa are not visible as any stamp or label. It is electronic and the validity of the visa will be recognized only when you enter the border of Bahrain.<br>Multiple or single entry: It determines the number of visits you may make. Mostly, the authority grants single entry visa, but for certain nationalities groups or purposes, they provide multiple entry visa.<br>Place of issue: Some visas are available on arrival in Bahrain. But otherwise visas must be pre-arranged either by the embassy or Bahrain visa consultant in Delhi. <br>To get visa, you need to pay a fee for the initial grant. The fees may increase if you apply for the subsequent extension.
