The Britain Out of Doors Characteristics: There are greater gender and class difference. • Less provision for woman in many public leisure facilities. • Voluntary organizations and sporting facilities used less by women than men. • More men than women spending their time in the local pub. • Old people and young unemployed persons having least money to spend on leisure • People in higher class having more financial resources available for leisure than those in lower class.
