As per the WHO, in 2016, an average of 170 grams per capita of alcohol is consumed per week in Europe. Men consume 18.3 liters of pure alcohol in a week whereas women consume 4.7 liters of alcohol in a week. Around 72% of the population reported that they had consumed alcohol in the last 12 months (83.3% men and 61.4% women).
