The designers believed there had to more than just a getting from one place to another. An automobile should be like an annex of a person’s home. The automobile should offer comfort, stimulate the senses, and allow the driver the ability to achieve goal. To do all that, the automobile would need some sort of separation screen, which allows a bit of the outside in, but not too much.
