He had always dreamed of being wealthy and successful, for he grew up in a very poor family. Dr. Tei-Fu Chen is an herbalist and pharmacist known throughout the world, his wife, Dr. Oi-Lin Chen, is a licensed medical doctor and President of Sunrider International.While Tei-Fu was studying Chemistry at Brigham Young University in UT, his wife went back to Taiwan to finish her medical degree. He remembers being so poor in college that he would buy hamburgers when they were on sale at Dee's and freeze them. He would then warm them up in his bed and eat one every day. This is when his interest in franchises started.
