Ultrasound – How It Helps?
It is a medical test that uses high-frequency sound waves to give us live images of insides of our body. It is different from other imaging techniques as it doesn’t use any radiation for capturing images. It uses the same technology that is used by radar and sonar, which help the armed forces in detecting planes or ships. During an ultrasound test, a technician or a doctor moves a device called a transducer over the part of body whose image is needed. The device will send out sound waves which bounce back from the tissue inside the body and the device captures these bounced back waves to create images.
