Co Variants and Adjustment of Disabled Children A Study in Elementary Schools in Uttar Pradesh
Children with special need have difficulty in adjusting with their environment in many ways compared to their normal peers. Physical environment of schools, village town and home is not conducive for CWSNs, as some need physical adjustment, some listening or communication and some observation or experiential adjustment. Due to these physical limitations, CWSNs are unable to actively participate in learning skills and knowledge effectively and become easy victim of teasing at public places. CWSN are not persons with different emotions, they just need special educational environment to grow like most of us. It has been found that CWSN, who may better adjust with physical, social and learning environment at home, school, public places with or without special devices, have better attendance at school. The disabled children have the same right to education, work and participation.
