Kim Johnson is a 3rd generation and her children are now 4th generation Siesta Key Rats "as the locals call each other". Kim's Great Uncle built and owned many cottages on the North end of Siesta Key Beach.
Kim's father had her on a surf board the minute she could stand. Her entire life was spent on the beach, that is what is the inspiration for our candles and jewelry.
Kim started making candles because she wanted a candle that was non-toxic and beautifully scented. Some of her experiences with candles she bought in the past were not impressive. At first the candle would smell then later after a few burns she couldn't smell the scent.
