The students must understand that every Arabic letter has an articulation point from called the Makhraj. These articulation points are those which the letters originate. The attributes of letters are called the Sifaat. Learning articulation points and attributes are very important in learning Tajweed. This is because it helps in reading the Holy Koran in such a way as our Prophet Mohammed recited. It is really an honor for a person that he is able to read the Quran beautifully. Not only reading in a beautiful voice is important but reading without mistakes is also very important.
