With Strategic Human Resource Management and EQ training as the answer to the lack of employee engagement, the question is what the impact of the Protea Tyres soft skills or EQ (emotional intelligence) training had on the lives of the learners and interns. What the impact is, not only in their work environment but also in their personal capacity and their communities. Another question is whether Strategic Human Resource Management combined with the EQ training had an impact on the Companies results and Bottom-line. A further question was if SHRM and EQ training had an impact on Management and the individuals coming from rural environments absorbed into the business environment, and the mobility from entry positions into leadership positions. The thinking was to have interviews with the management of companies, the individual employees and the community members the learners and interns, interacted with. This includes interviews from the newspaper, radio and Dstv television interviews that will feature on the relevant Dstv programs.
