Artists And Oxford Pupils Brighten Up Marston Underpass With New Mural I've been painting commissioned murals that are large in and around Bristol. The neighborhood mural movement, which started from the late 1960's, generated countless hundreds of large scale wall paintings at less than a decade. Almost every city had a few, including Indianapolis, although they were concentrated in major towns. These were sparked by the civil rights movement, labour movements, the Chicano movement, and community improvement programs. Hispanic muralists such as Clemente Orozco, Diego Rivera, David Sequeiros, and Arnold Belkin affected content and the style of those murals. They were also affected by graffiti and by advertisements art.
