Also known as Potemkin step is a huge stairway in Odesa, Ukraine. From the direction of the sea, the stairs are a formal entrance to the city. It is the best-known landmark of Odessa. Originally the stairs were known as Boulevard steps or the Richelieu steps. The staircase is of 142 meters but gives the illusion of greater length.
